- An arbitration procedure is provided under the FEI Statutes and General Regulations as referred to
above. In accordance with this procedure, any appeal against a decision rendered by the FEI or its
official bodies must be settled exclusively by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne,
Switzerland.

Female riders born in 1959 or older, male riders born in 1955 or older, according to the FEI-Regulations.
Horses of six years and older.

Large Tour (1.20 m): VJR members are invited. Max. 3 horses per participant
Small Tour (1.10 m): VJR members are invited. Max. 3 horses per participant and
SVSCR members (max. 2 horses per participant) are invited

Master-List

The organizer produces a list of all definitely starting competitors ("Masterlist"), broken down in accordance to above quoted criterions.
Alterations are only possible before start of the competition and only with agreement of both sides.

There will be no bookings made by the organizer. The participants have to book their rooms in advance.

B. Grooms

Lodgings and meals for grooms are not provided. The participants will have to take care of the matter themselves. Sufficient sanitary and showering facilities with hot and cold water will be provided by the OC, both for male and female grooms. Room reservations for grooms can be made at Gasthof Sonne,. CH 4813 Uerkheim, phone 004162 721 17 66.
C. Horses

Entry- and starting fee, LK fee, MCP-fee and stable fee (July 09th to 11th 2004) incl. bedding for the box amount to a flat rate of € 250.00 per horse.
Shavings are included as bedding. Straw can be obtained for an extra fee. Reimbursement of transport costs will not be paid.

D. Arrival

The time and date of arrival of riders and horses and their means of transport must be given to the OC to allocate them on arrival.

E. Stables
There are 170 tent boxes in 3 stables. Participants may not erect their own stable tents.
F. Lorry / caravan parking

The parking is located directly on the hippodrome premises. Electricity for caravans and lorries can be provided for a nominal charge.
G. Advertising and Publicity on Competitors and Horses

The competitors are authorised to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art. 136. The Chief Steward will check that the advertising and publicity on competitors and horses complies with Art. 136 of the General Regulations. Competitors not complying with Art. 136 will be reported to the Ground Jury and will not be permitted into the arena during the course of the competition until the use of the sponsor logo is in compliance with this article.
H. Manufacturer of the Safety Cups
The safeties cups, used during the competitions of the CSI-B-V will be those manufactured by CARO, and Save & light Olympic.

The participants will then be invited by the organiser via their FN.
Entry forms must include the following information on horses:

Name, date of birth, breed, country of birth, stud-book initials, FEI passport number, name(s) of owner(s), colour, sex.
The number of boxes should be ordered at the same time.

VII. Border crossing/Customs formalities

Veterinary and customs fees as well as any further charges for the handling of border formalities will not be paid by the organizer.

-1 copy of the identification page of the horse’s passport
-Vehicle number plate numbers of the car and trailer;
Additionally for lorries: one copy of the vehicle registration form.

All horses coming from abroad must have a valid FEI passport. For horses resident in Switzerland, the SVPS passport is sufficient.

Sunday driving permit
Riders who intend to leave Switzerland on Sunday, July 11th and whose vehicle exceeds 3.5 tons total weight, will need a Sunday driving permit for Switzerland, from the Department of Motor Vehicles at a cost of approx € 30.00. This permit can be obtained from the entries office after the receipt of the vehicle number plate number and the driving fee no later than 8th July 2004, 7:00 p.m.

VIII. Veterinary Matters

2. Veterinary Examinations, horse inspections and passport controls

These will be carried out in accordance with Veterinary Regulations, Art.1011, 9th edition, 1st January 2002, and the Jumping Rules, Annex VII, 21st edition effective 1st January 2003.
General Regulations 20th edition, revised 1st January 2000 will apply

In accordance with Art.139.1
Each horse entered for any competition at CNs or CIMs (compare appendix D) in a foreign country an for every other Cis, CIOs, Championships, Regional an Olympic Games whether at home or in foreign countries, must have an official valid FEI Passport, or a National Passport approved by the FEI, accompanied by an FEI Recognition Card, as a means of identification and to establish ownership.

In accordance with Art. 139.2
Each horse entered for any competition at CNs or CIMs (compare appendix D) taking part doesn’t need a FEI Passport as is mentioned in paragraph 1. All such horses must be properly registered and identifiable by diagram. Unless there is no national requirement for equine influenza vaccination in the host country and in the country of origin, all horses must have a valid vaccination certificate.

EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION, Vet. Regs. Annex VI
All horses and ponies for which an FEI Passport or a National Passport approved by the FEI has been issued must have the vaccination section endorsed by a veterinarian stating that it has received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza, given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. In addition, a booster injection must be recorded as having been given within each succeeding 12 months subsequent to the second injection of the primary vaccination. None of these injections must have been given within the preceding 7 (seven) days including the day of the competition or of entry into the competition stables.
The above are the minimum requirements for influenza vaccination. Both primary and first and subsequent booster injections should be given according to the manufacturer's instructions which will fall within the stipulation of the FEI ruling. In many cases booster injections are recommended / required by the manufacturers and by National Authorities/Regulatory Authorities at intervals more frequent than 12 months.

SAMPLING FOR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES, Vet. Regs. Chap V & VI and Annex III
At all other international events horses are subject to sampling for Prohibited Substances. Such sampling is compulsory in CSIs***/****/*****, CSIOs, World Cup Qualifiers, Cup Finals, Championships and Games, and is recommended for other categories of CIs.
Special guidelines are applicable for events covered by the FEI's Medication Control Programme (Groups I and II only).

MEDICATION CONTROL PROGRAMME (GROUPS I & II ONLY)
The Organising Committees of FEI events within Groups I & II are advised to charge competitors the equivalent of CHF 12.50 per horse per event as a contribution towards the costs of the MCP programme.

APPROVED LABORATORY - APPLICABLE ONLY TO GROUPS I and II (Article 1022)
Under the Medication Control Programme (MCP) in Groups I and II, all samples collected in accordance with VR Art. 1017.1 will be analysed by L.A.B. Fédération Nationale des Courses Françaises, 169, Avenue de la Division Leclerc, F-92290 Chatenay-Malabry, FRA, Tel.: (331) 47 02 91 48, Fax: (331) 47 02 34 00.

Health Certificates
Every competitor is supplied to deliver all necessary certificates of health for the transport to the event or identification o the horses before they come into the stables:
a) in case of arrival from a EU-member-country, a certificate for registered horses acc. to sample of Annex B to Reglements 90/426 of the actual valid form (sample is enclosed to schedule) will be necessary.
b) in case of arrival from a country not concerning to the EU, a certificate of health for registered horses acc. to sample of annex II of the decision of the commission 92/260 of the actual valid from will be necessary.
A certificate must be done in at least one official language of the country of destination and in one official language of the member country. The competitor must carry with him the original certificate, not a copy.
The organiser sees to it that on the competition site, an official state veterinarian is present to issue the health certificates which are necessary for the transport of the horses to their destination abroad.


IX. Miscellaneous:

All competitors entering a horse for this event, accept the conditions laid down in the schedule and programme for themselves, their grooms and their horses.

1. Objections / Complaints (Art. 167, 168, 170 & 171)
All complaints and objections must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of sfr 150,- or equivalent in order to be valid.
2. Prizes

In each competition at least 25% of the competitors will receive prizes. There will be no prize money but prizes of honour, ribbons and plaquettes.


3. Insurances

All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third persons caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date.
The organizer is not responsible for accidents or illness of riders, stable staff and horses. He also refuses the responsibility for theft, damages and other incidents an also not for damages which happens to third persons, cars and horses.
4. Event Organization (Art. 115.1. and 2)

In exceptional circumstances, together with the approval of the Ground Jury, the starters and the delegate of the German NF the OC reserves the right to modify the schedule in order to clarify any matters or matters arising from an omission or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes must be notified to all competitors and officials as soon as possible and they must be reported to the FEI-Secretary General by the Foreign Judge.

   
5. Entry right to the stable area acc. to VR Art. 1005.25.

Competitors, one accompanying person and one groom per competitor, Chef d’Equipe, veterinarian, horse owners (2 per horse), judges and a limited number of members of the organizing committee will get free admission cards.
 
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire stable area!!!
 
6. Declaration of Starters

The participants have to enrol for each competition at the show office no later than 60 minutes before the start of the respective event. Entries for the first competition on Friday can be made on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the entries office.
 
7. Doctor / Veterinarian / Blacksmith

The expenses have to be paid by the participants.
 
 
8. THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE

The Féderation Equestre International (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI’s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences.

1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take

precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training

methods, farriery and tack, and transportation.

2. Horses and competitors must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to

compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety,

pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids.

3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the

competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the

horse for onward travel after the event.

4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have

competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over.

This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement.

5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of

expertise.
